PONTE DI LEGNO

Just over the border from Val di Sole and Trentino, the Ponte Di Legno ski resort is a beautiful destination for the range of ski runs and slopes. The area, as well as the Presena glacier, during the winter months, is covered in blankets of white snow - perfect for skiing enthusiasts. Ponte di Legno lies upon the Adamello - Brenta Mountain range and is an excellent place particularly for intermediate skiers. In this resort, you will be welcomed with picturesque views of the mountains, as well as the coniferous trees that adorn the landscape. In Ponte di Legno, you can find cross-country ski schools, snowboard school, sleddog schools, ice skating, restaurants and more.

LIVIGNO

Located in Alta Valtellina, Livigno is an excellent destination for skiing for any skill level. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, you can find something suited for you in Livigno. If you are a complete beginner, you can go on the smaller slopes in the village, after that, you can work your way up to more challenging slopes, which includes a view of the snow-covered trees from beneath the valley. The snow in Livigno is very reliable. At 1815 metres, the mountain stays very cold throughout the ski season, and even if it doesn’t snow, all-throughout the resort there are snow-making machines to ensure that there is always snow. And when you’re off the slopes, there is an extensive range of activities you can do. We recommend you try going to a local restaurant and trying the local Lombardy dishes such as Pizzoccheri and Bresaola (it is where these dishes were invented!).

APRICA

Between the Province of Sondrio and Brescia, the Aprica Ski resort is only a 12-minute drive from Albergo Miramonti. It is a considerably large resort town that sits on the vast plateau of the Valtellina valley. Around the resort is remnants and buildings of traditional buildings and Alpine cultural heritage. It has a great variety of slopes suitable for all kinds of skiers, from beginners to expert level. You can access the heart of Aprica’s ski area by using the chair lift or gondola near the village. The overall area is excellent for after-ski activities, with several Italian restaurants that serve the local specialities of pizzoccheri, sciatt and Valtellinese wine, as well as bars and ice-skating activities in the area.

BORMIO

Bormio is known to be an ancient spa town located in the Upper Valtellina valley. It is a popular destination for many ski enthusiasts thanks to its proximity to the Alps, as well as the other activities you can do there (like the Thermal Baths!). It is so well-suited to winter activities that it is scheduled to hold the 2026 Winter Olympics in the future! The ski resort is suitable mainly for intermediate skiers, with some slopes that are great for beginners. It has fifteen lifts and several ski schools to help ease skiers into the activity. There is a downhill course in Bormio called ‘Pista Stelvio’ which is considered to be one of the most challenging courses in the world; the second-longest in the World circuit.
