Why Travel Off The Beaten Path?
In a world where there are countless holiday destinations, there are still many places that remain untouched - or in the least - not frequently visited by tourists. Does that mean that it is not worth visiting? Certainly not. Sometimes, not following the crowd will allow you to discover and venture into places you never thought existed. That is the magic of travelling off the beaten path. Our Miramonti Boutique Hotel is passionate about bringing our small town to life. We want international visitors to discover the beauty that is the town of Corteno Golgi and the province of Brescia. And just like us, there are many locations worldwide that want the tourism spotlight. But why should you travel off the beaten path? Here are a few reasons why:
Where there are many tourists, accommodations and attractions are significantly more expensive. You will find this to be true especially if you travel to popular destinations like Rome or Milan. But if you go to the less-known places, you will be able to save a lot of money as they tend to be priced a lot more reasonably.
When it comes to popular destinations, the fight for bookings and hotel amenities is strong. But when you go opt for a lesser-known location, you will get better value for what you pay for. For example, our hotel in the Italian Alps, Hotel Miramonti, offers spa packages, excellent views, a cigar lounge and free shuttle buses - allowing you to travel to the most picturesque places in the Apennine mountain range. All of this for a very reasonable price in comparison to overbooked, and over-priced mainstream hotels.
Think about it, do you really like fighting amongst the crowd of tourists? I don’t think so. It is certainly very stressful when you want to go on a “relaxing getaway” but all you get are views of countless people trying to speed-walk to the next destination. For a stress-free, and peaceful vacation, you should try travelling off the beaten path.
More tourists mean more people partying and more people crowding the amenities. If you do like this atmosphere, that’s fine! But there are also many other people who prefer the quieter, less noisy areas. This could mean that you don’t have to worry about other people too much, but you can actually focus on enjoying yourself. If you’re lucky, you can have the amenities all to yourself. What’s better than having the hotel sauna all to yourself?
