Porcini Foraging

PORCINI FORAGING

Porcini mushrooms are the much-loved ingredient used in many gourmet recipes. From Porcini Risotto to Porcini Mushroom Tagliatelle - it proves one versatile piece of food. You can put the Porcinis to the test when you visit our Miramonti Restaurant - the mushrooms are incorporated in several of our traditional Italian dishes.

“We’re Surrounded by Prime Mushroom Hunting Locations”

It’s an extremely popular Nature Activity among Hotel Miramonti guests, particularly in the summer. The climate of the Italian alps provides the perfect environment for the Porcinis to grow, so it comes as no surprise that we’re surrounded by prime mushroom hunting locations. You could take a trip to Aprica, a much-loved spot for mushroom-pickers. Or Magnolta, who are known for their porcini picking competitions. There have even been sightings of ‘Super Porcinos’, which are extra-large Porcini Mushrooms, in Valle Camonica. It is important to know that there are certain areas whereby you may need a permit to harvest the Porcinis - you can find out all you need to know on Geoticket. If you have any questions about porcini hunting, our staff will be happy to help you organise your trip.
