SKIING

“the most Popular winter aCTIVITY IN THE alPS”

When most of you think of the Alps, we’re almost a hundred per cent sure that skiing will come across your mind. Skiing is a popular activity in the Alps; whether you’re going solo, bringing friends or even family, you won’t escape the prospect of visiting a ski resort there. Essentially, skiing is a means of transport that allows you to glide across the snow, making it a fun and convenient way to travel. Once you arrive in Northern Italy, you will be surprised by the number of ski resorts there. In Lombardy, our favourite ski resorts are Aprica, Ponte di Legno and Bormio.

SCENIC TRAIN RIDES

“ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL TRAIN RIDES IN THE WORLD”

One of our favourite winter activities in the Alps is to go on scenic train rides through the mountains. Just a 40-minute drive from our Award-Winning Hotel, you can take the Bernina Express to ride into Switzerland. During this trip, you will witness one of the most beautiful views on a train. We’re talking about snow-covered mountains, seas of coniferous trees and majestic viaduct structures as you cruise through higher altitudes.

You can expect a month full of festivities, with images of the nativity scene dotted all around the country - including the Alps. NATURE

“gET YOUR CAMERA READY”

Without a doubt, the Alps are, truly, one of the most naturally stunning places on Earth. While you’re in the Italian Alps, you can go hiking up the mountains, and on the way, you might get the chance to spot Alpine flora and fauna like the ibex or the bearded vulture. This makes the Alps the perfect place to visit for photographers.
