 CYCLING

Cycling in the Italian Alps would be a dream come true to any cycling enthusiast. The endless mountainous landscape makes it the ideal location for a cycling trip. There are several great cycling climbs nearby Hotel Miramonti. Though they may be challenging, they make one of the most enjoyable Sports Activities in Northern Italy.

STELVIO

“CYCLE HIGH-UP IN THE MOUNTAINS”

The Stelvio Mountain Pass is the second highest mountain pass in the Alps - reaching a height of 2758m. This Alpine adventure is a must-try for any cycling enthusiast staying at our Award-Winning Hotel. It’s renowned for its challenging route, as the altitude proves a hurdle for anyone planning to conquer the mountain. So much so that you’ll still see snow capping the mountain-tops during the start of Summer. The temperature changes drastically as you make your way to the top - so ensure you're prepared and take the right clothing with you! You should also bear in mind that the higher the altitude the less oxygen there is, so if you're inexperienced at cycling with high-altitudes then this route will be considerably harder for you. Ensure you stay hydrated and listen to your body. The mountain is closed during the Winter months - usually opening in May and closing in November. If you’ve got more questions regarding the Stelvio Mountain Pass, check out the FAQs on Epic Road Rides
